About Whitney
Gipson was recruited to play basketball in college, but she wanted to stick to track and knew she had more potential in the long jump. At TCU she quickly developed into one of the best collegiate long jumpers in the nation and competed at the NCAA Outdoor Championships all four years. Gipson became the first female to win an NCAA track & field title for TCU with her indoor national title in 2012. Gibson was the 2013 USA Indoor runner-up with a jump of 6.65m/21-10.
