About Omo
Since becoming a professional in 2011, Omoghan "Omo" Osaghae has established himself as the preeminent American 60-meter hurdler. His indoor dominance has been unrivaled in the United States over the past four years. Osaghae has captured three of the last four USA Indoor 60-meter hurdles titles; only the 2012 gold does not bear his name. Osaghae claimed his first international title at the 2014 World Indoor Championships in Sopot, Poland, narrowly edging out France’s Pascal Martinot Lagarde by one-hundredth of a second. The 7.45 finish placed him in a tie for first atop the world rankings, in addition to setting a new personal best. Osaghae had a successful collegiate career at Texas Tech, winning three Big 12 titles and earning two All-American honors. While at Texas Tech Osaghae pursued an accounting degree, with a double minor in exercise sport science and health.
